only and are for sale on a strictly business to business basis. Products
are not intended for sale to members of the general public. Please read
the terms and conditions carefully and do not hesitate to contact us
if you require further information or clarification. If you do not accept
these terms and conditions, please discontinue your purchase. This web
site is made available by us, Scissorbook.com Limited ("Scissorbook.com")
and all references to "we" and "us" are to Scissorbook.com. All
visitors to our web site are referred to as "you".
1. The Contract
between us
To make a purchase from our
web site, you must complete the on-line registration form. A binding
contract for the sale and purchase of goods between you and us will
only come into effect when we issue to you confirmation of order and
an order reference number to the e-mail address provided by you on the
registration form. We are not obliged to accept any order(s) you submit.
2. Price and payment
We reserve the right to revise
at any time the price of goods offered for sale on our web site without
notice. All orders for goods are subject to availability and Scissorbook.com
reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company
for whatever reason. Although Scissorbook.com tries to ensure that
prices on this web site are accurate, errors can sometimes occur. [The
prices as stated are therefore indicative only but an accurate total
price, including delivery charges, will be confirmed to you when we
send you confirmation of our acceptance of your order.] If the price
when confirmed, is not to your satisfaction your sole remedy is to withdraw
your order and return the goods, to us in an unused condition, if already
delivered to you. All prices are exclusive of VAT and are quoted in
British Pounds Sterling unless otherwise stated. Payment in full is
required to be made by any of the following credit cards Visa, Mastercard,
American Express, or Switch debit card through this web site prior to
despatch of goods. Where a credit agreement exists between you and us,
payment in full in cleared funds is required to be made no later than
30 days from the date of our invoice. In the event of late payment by
you, we or our appointed representatives reserve the right to enter
onto your premises to remove the goods. Until such time as payment is
made in full in accordance with this Clause, you will keep all such
goods separate and identifiable from the rest of your property.
3. Delivery
We aim to despatch your order
within 24 hours. We try to deliver the goods in accordance with the
delivery times and charges set out below. We are only able to deliver
to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland at the present time. Please
note the delivery times stated below are indicative only and we are
not responsible for any delays.
Delivery times and delivery charges:
Delivery Times - Orders made
before 12noon delivered within 48 hours else within 2-3 days. Some scissors
may take longer for delivery as these need to be specially ordered in.
Estimated delivery times are given in good faith.
Delivery Charges -
- Most of UK Mainland - Parcels
upto 20Kg in weight delivered by our nominated carrier service at
a cost of £3.95 + VAT
- Northern Ireland, Scottish
Highlands and Islands - Parcels upto 20kg in weight delivered by our
nominated carrier service at a cost of £5.50 + VAT
All charges are excluding VAT.
Small packages may be sent out via Royal Mail. We reserve the right
to make an extra charge for re- delivery if you are not available to
accept or receive the goods when delivered to you.
4. Tax and other
charges
We charge UK VAT at 17.5% on
all orders. All local customs, excise, value added and import taxes
are your responsibility and we will not pay these charges. In addition,
we will not be responsible for any costs, fines, taxes or duties incurred
as a result of goods being seized outside the United Kingdom. We will
not provide any refunds or credit notes in these circumstances.
5. Returns and
refunds
When goods have been ordered
in error or are not as expected, the Company may agree to their return
on the following conditions.
- you must contact Scissorbook.com
by e-mail or in writing within seven working days of your receipt
of the goods and provide us with your order reference number.
- if you wish to return unwanted
goods please ensure that any product you return is in original condition,
unworn or unused and sent back to us in its original packaging. Your
Statutory Rights are not effected.
- If we do not receive notification
within seven days, any shortage, damage or other deficiency will be
deemed to have occurred after delivery to you.
- If, in our opinion, the returned
goods are damaged we will provide you, at our option, with replacement
goods or a refund for the total costs of the goods within 30 days
of our receipt of the returned goods.
- If we find that the goods
are not damaged or faulty, we will return the ordered goods to you
and you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping. We
will also charge you an administration fee of 10% of the cost of your
original order.
- Goods which are given free,
as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable, unless the
full offer is returned, subject to normal conditions.

6. Product descriptions
In describing the Products available
on our web site we attempt to be as accurate as possible. Scissorbook.com,
however, does not warrant that Products descriptions or other content
of this web site is accurate, complete, reliable or error-free. If a
Product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return
the Product in an unused condition in accordance with the provisions
detailed below.
7. Your account
If you use our web site, you
are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree
to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
and all passwords. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate
accounts or cancel orders at our sole discretion. We will deliver the
goods ordered by you to the address given by you for delivery on the
on-line registration form at the time of your order and by whatever
means we reasonably consider appropriate.
8. Ownership of
Goods
We will retain ownership of
the goods you order until we receive full payment for the order including
the applicable delivery charges (including any charges for re-delivery
in accordance with Clause 3 above). Once the goods have been delivered
to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable
for their loss or destruction.
9. Cancellation
and variation of orders
Prior to despatch, cancellation
will only be accepted on the following terms:
- 5% handling charge on standard
items.
- special non-standard items
such as specialised equipment or salonwear cannot be cancelled and
payment must be made in full.

10. Product availability
All products are subject to
stock availability. If we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods
ordered by you we may, at our option, send a carefully selected substitute,
alternatively, any sum debited to your credit card will be re-credited
to your account and we will notify you by e-mail at the address given
by you in your registration form. The refund will be made as soon as
possible after such notification and in any event within thirty days
of receipt of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional
compensation for disappointment suffered.
11. Warranty
All products are sold subject
to the manufacturer's warranty which we will honour to the extent of
such warranty but all products packaged in glassware are hereby expressly
excluded from this warranty. All products sold on this web-site are
intended for use by trained professional beauty therapists and hairdressers
only and not for use by members of the general public except under the
direct supervision of a trained professional beauty therapist and/or
hairdresser and Scissorbook.com and the hosts of this web site
accept no responsibility for and exclude any and all liability in connection
with the use or misuse of any Products purchased on this web site. We
will be entitled to set off any or all sums due by you to us against
any or all sums due by us to you. Nothing in this Clause is, however,
intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable local law
that may not be excluded nor in any way exclude or limit Scissorbook.com'
liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from their
negligence.
