Getting Started in Scissorbook.com Shop

Enter Online Store

From Any page click on browse shop to enter the Scissorbook.com Online Shop. Once in the Scissorbook.com Shop you can start adding products to your shopping cart straight away. You will be required to log in or register before confirming the order.

Logging in

To log in from within shop,

  1. Enter your username and password into relevant boxes at top of screen.
  2. Click on GO

The Scissorbook.com Shop main screen is displayed where you will see the latest promotions in the centre and the product categories on the left hand side. 

Registering to Use Scissorbook.com

To Register to use the shop,

  1. Click on register
  2. Read Terms and Conditions then click on agree button
  3. Enter in a unique Username
  4. Enter in a unique Password - max 6 characters
  5. Fill in the rest of the form with your details then click on submit button
  6. Should you receive an error message go back and try a different Username as this one may already be in use.

How to Order

Creating a new order from scratch

From the home page click enter shop. This takes you to the Shopping section.

Creating an order based on a reorder template

  1. You must first log in to the site - see above for logging in
  2. Click My Account in the shop section
  3. Click View Saved Templates
  4. Choose the reorder form on which you want to base your new order, Click on Re-open

Reopening a saved order

  1. You must first log in to the site - see above for logging in
  2. Click My Account in the Main Menu
  3. Click View Saved Orders
  4. Choose the order form you wish to reopen, Click on Re-open

Adding items to an order form

Once an order is started, your basket details remain on the top right of your screen while you choose the items that you want to add to your order. From the Shopping section, you can:

Adding items from the full catalog

To add items to an order form from the full catalogue,

  1. Use the Browse Category Menu on the left side of screen to browse full catalogue.
  2. Choose a main category by clicking the category link from the menu.
  3. If any, choose a subcategory by clicking the subcategory title within middle section.
  4. Scroll to find the item you want to add to the order. Click the info button to display a picture and a product description.
  5. Enter a quantity in the quantity box and click Buy button to add the item to your order form.

The order form is automatically updated and recalculated. You do not need to hit an update or submit button. You will see the details of your basket appearing on the top right hand side of screen.

Searching for an item
  1. From Shopping section, Click Search from the left hand menu.
  2. Enter the name of the product or the name of the manufacturer.You can also use keywords such as "Straightener" to bring a list of all relevant products. You can enter only a few letters of the name if you wish. Scissorbook.com displays all items that match the characters you entered.
  3. Scroll to find the item you want to add to your order. To display a picture and full description of the item, click the Info button.
  4. Enter a quantity in the quantity box and click Buy button to add the item to your order form.
  5. The order form is automatically updated and recalculated. You do not need to hit an update or submit button.
Entering product codes directly with RapidShop

If you know the product numbers of the items you wish to order, you can speed up the ordering process even more by using the RapidShop option.

To enter product codes directly,

  1. From the Shopping section, Click Rapid Shop button from the left hand menu.
  2. Enter the product code and quantity in the table, then click Check Code
  3. Click Buy Now to quickly transfer the items from the RapidShop table to your order form.
  4. Click Remove to clear entries from the RapidShop table.

Editing entries on the order form

You can change an order form by clicking view cart/checkout from the top menu in Shopping section.

Editing entries

To change entries in an order form,

  1. Click Review button in shopping cart
  2. Check the items in the order that you want to change. Either change quantity box or check delete box.
  3. Click Confirm Changes.

Removing items from the order form

To quickly remove items from an order form,

  1. Click Review button in shopping cart
  2. Check the delete box of the items in the order that you want to remove
  3. Click Confirm Changes

Saving an order form

You may want to save an order form for various reasons. Perhaps you have not yet completed the form and want to save it for editing later. You may want to save an order form for approval before submitting it for processing.

In addition, you can save an order form to be used as a template for reorders in the future.

Saving a submitted order form

Scissorbook.com Shop automatically saves any confirmed but unpaid orders. You can access these by:

  1. Once logged in, click on my account from top menu within shop
  2. Click on View Order History
  3. You will see the latest orders at the top with later orders following, status unpaid show confirmed orders requiring payment

Saving a unsubmitted order form

Scissorbook.com Shop allows you to save your order if you are not ready to confirm it yet.

  1. Once logged in, click on view cart/checkout from top menu within shop
  2. Click on Save Order
  3. You will receive an order reference.
  4. You can reopen this order by clicking on my account
  5. Click View Saved Orders
  6. You will see the order refrence number, click re-open to start from where you left off.

Saving an order form as a reorder template

To save an order form as a reorder form template,

  1. After preparing the order, click view cart/checkout.
  2. Click Make Template
  3. Enter a name for the reorder form and click Save Form. For example, you could name the form Monthly Equipment Order. Scissorbook.com.com automatically adds the current date to the reorder form.

Completing an order

Once you have prepared your current order form, you are ready to complete your order.

To complete your order,

  1. Click view cart/checkout to view the order form.
  2. Click Confirm to progress to the checkout - NB you must be logged in for this procedure. If not Log in now.
  3. Use the mouse and/or the TAB key to change the shipping details from the default defined for each customer if required. Confirm address is correct by clicking progress
  4. A payment summary shows now. Check you have included everything you wanted and click on Confirm
  5. Scissorbook.com Shop displays a confirmation screen. To complete the ordering process, click Pay Here.
  6. You will be taken to Worldpay Online Payment System - this is a secure online banking system supported by Royal Bank of Scotland.

Viewing your Order Status/History

To view the status of all of your orders,

  1. Choose my account from the top menu.
  2. Select View Order History
  3. Your confirmed orders will appear here along with status. You can open any order by clicking View for more details.

Modifying your Details

To change your personal details such as address,

  1. Choose my account from the top menu NB// You must be logged in
  2. Select Modify Details
  3. Your details will appear in a form. Make amendments and click submit to save changes

Using Templates

Templates can be very useful when you are making the same regular order. For example if you are buying the same colour tints every week. Scissorbook.com allows you to save an order as a template which you can reuse again and again.

Setting up a Template

  1. Add the products to your shopping cart as described above. Only include the ones you will be regularly buying
  2. Click on view cart/checkout
  3. Click Make Template
  4. Give the template a recognisable name
  5. The order will now be saved as a template and you are free to continue with the order at this moment.

Reopening a Template

  1. Click on my account
  2. Select View Template Order
  3. Click reopen on the template you want to use. This will automatically fill your cart with the saved products.
